Some species of fish found in Bulgaria Freshwater: common carp, grass carp, trout, pike-perch, pike, channel catfish, blue catfish, carp bream, European perch, roach, chub and barbel Sea water (includes): mackerel, horse mackerel, Pontic shad, garfish, turbot, scad, bluefish, corb, mullet, gobies, whiting, hake, cod. A fishing permit (риболовен билет) is required in order to fish in the lakes, dams and rivers of Bulgaria; sea fishing does not require a permit. There are over 5100 documented caves in Bulgaria, most of them well documented. Cave animals have been recorded from more than 700 Bulgarian caves. Bulgarian cavers have discovered and surveyed 62 caves longer than 1,000 m, as well as 52 potholes deeper than 100 m. Bulgarian caving is currently well-organized network of caving clubs, including more than 800 members. The first Bulgarian caving society was founded as early as 1929, but the first cave animals, fossils and archaeological artefacts in Bulgarian caves had been found and published even earlier, at the end of the 19th century. We are 20 minutes away from Shumen Plateau which is the home to more than 60 of these caves. More information on areas and access coming soon |

Among the many beautiful places around us we have a collection of very high peaks suitable for all experience of Paraglider's. Many of the starting points or take off points of the Shumen Plateau are accessible by asphalt road making for an easy start. We are only 20 minutes away from some very interesting sites. Bulgaria is home to many golf courses three of which are situated about 1 hour away from our accommodation. Two being designed by professional golfer Gary Player and the other proffesional golfer Ian Woosnam. More information coming soon. |

The varied natural habitat, relief and climate and relatively untouched environment are among the main reasons for the many bird species in the country. It includes 402 bird species from 11 orders, 50 families and 174 genera. We have, Male Downy Woodpeckers (picoides pubescens) and an owl (not sure of species) frequent our gardens almost daily. The areas around Pliska make for good cycling. They are hilly, very scenic and the rider can choose for how far he or she wants to travel. There are quaint villages en-route to provide for supplies like food and refreshments. |

Go-Karting We have within 20 minutes drive located on the outskirts of Shumen an outdoor Karting track.Excellent facilities, bar and food available on-site. Regular competition days held.
